Singin' Dancin' Fools

The Animaniacs are here once again. But this time they're aimed at an even younger audience, with tough, less-than- mature game play and childlike graphics.

The graphics include large, well-drawn, colorful characters, suitable for young 'uns. The cartoon-intensive backgrounds feature lots of visual references to the show.In this version, the terrible three some are asked to retrieve a script with Academy Award potential. The head of Warner Brothers Studios thinks the task of finding the script will keep Yakko, Wakko, and Dot out of trouble. He should think again. The trio travels to various movie set's, avoiding traps and collecting coins while trying to outrun Ralph the Security Guard.

ProTip: Use your Dash to break open boxes for coins.

Unlike its Genesis counterpart, this version isn't a really well-planned action/adventure game. It's mostly a jump-and- land-correctly, avoid-the-traps game. The characters (which are all selectable) don't have special power-ups or even items like the Hammer, Paddle Ball, or Kiss Blower that the trio in the Genesis had. Your character can dash, pick up items, and move things, however.

Cartoon Cousins

The graphics include large, well-drawn, colorful characters, suitable for young 'uns. The cartoon-intensive backgrounds feature lots of visual references to the show.

  • Run against the barrel to make it start to make it start moving in the Aquatic Stage.
  • Dash to get away from Ralph. When you dash expiries, move to the left or right and dash again.

The music is primarily the silly theme song, repeated over and over again. Any other music is certainly forgettable, and the other sound effects are your basic binks and boinks. It would have been nice to hear some voices from the stars.

Angrymaniacs

The controls are easy to remember but hard to control. You have one jump button, one dash button, and a whole lotta aggravating and precise jumps to make. Even a mundane task like outrunning Ralph the Security Guard is hard to do.

If you really like the show and are a fan of this terrific trio, then you may want this simple, thoughtless game. But real animation-maniacs will want to stick to a better-looking.

Games[edit]

Belchinator Too[edit]

This game stars Wakko as the protagonist and The Brain as the antagonist. The Brain has once again decided to attempt world domination by creating robots using the Acme Labs. However, his creations eventually turn against him and take him prisoner, planning to use his vast intellect to help them destroy the world. Wakko must stop the robots by unleashing the power of his belches, fueled by the assorted snacks (power-ups) he finds along the way.

Prop Shop Drop[edit]

This game puts Yakko to work collecting movie props for a crabby foreman. Players control Yakko on a bicycle as he rides through the studio, collecting the props and avoiding obstacles. As Yakko proceeds, he can upgrade to a motorcycle or racecar to cover ground more quickly.

Smoocher[edit]

In Smoocher, Dot must turn her nightmares into good dreams by blowing 'smooches' (hearts) at the enemies to freeze them. Once they are frozen, Dot can run over them to eliminate them. She has only a limited supply of smooches and must collect more throughout the game. If she jumps and hits a stick of TNT, it will freeze every enemy on the screen.

Baloney's Balloon Bop[edit]

Baloney's Balloon Bop stars all three Warners as they try to pop balloons by bouncing Yakko upward on a trampoline held by Wakko and Dot. Baloney the dinosaur runs along the bottom of the screen, under Wakko and Dot, and Yakko will lose a life if he misses the trampoline and is caught by Baloney. Some balloons contain power-ups, while others release anvils that will stun Baloney for a moment if they land on him. On later screens, unbreakable steel blocks appear among the balloons.

Tee Off Mini Golf[edit]

The player controls Dot as she plays through a nine-hole miniature golf course loaded with unusual obstacles.
